Delete your data

Startup Office — Stone City Games

Startup Office has no accounts and no sign-in. We never collect your name or anything else that identifies you (except an email address you may have chosen to give us with a feedback message). The only thing linking the data we collect is a randomly generated install ID created on your device, which you can see in the game.

Because of that, we cannot find your data from your name — you have to give us the install ID. Here is how.

Leaderboard entries delete themselves. If you joined the leaderboard, open the leaderboard screen and choose Leave — your name and scores are deleted immediately, no email needed. The steps below cover everything else.

How to request deletion

  1. Open Startup Office on your device.
  2. Go to Settings, then Diagnostics.
  3. Find the line beginning install: and copy the ID after it. It looks like e5d28e8d-aaf8-4335-bcb3-5e4f6602cb4a. (There is a Copy Diagnostics button that copies the whole panel if that is easier — you can paste all of it.)
  4. Email that ID to stonecitygames67@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my data”.
You can also just stop collection entirely. In Settings, turn telemetry off. Nothing further is collected, and anything waiting to be sent is discarded immediately. You do not need to contact us to do this. The leaderboard and announcements are separate and have their own controls.

We delete all records matching that install ID within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What gets deleted

Everything we hold that is associated with that install ID:

What is kept

Nothing that relates to you. We keep aggregate counts that have already been calculated from all players combined and contain no install IDs — for example “62% of players finished the tutorial.” Those figures cannot be traced back to any individual or device, and your data cannot be reconstructed from them.

Your saved game stays on your own device and is not held by us at all, so there is nothing for us to delete. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data removes it.

Retention

We do not keep collected data indefinitely: gameplay and diagnostic records and feedback responses (including any email address) are deleted automatically after 90 days, and leaderboard entries are removed after 90 days without an update. Deleting the game or clearing its data ends collection and permanently disconnects that install ID — a fresh install generates a new one, and the old records can never be re-associated with you.
